Lecithin - An Amazing Youth Element

Lecithin is the most abundant of the phospholipids. It is a fatty food substance, which serves as a structural material for every cell in the body. It is an essential constituent of the human brain and nervous system. It forms 30 percent of the dry weight of the brain and 17 percent of the nervous system.

Lecithin is also an important component of the endocrine glands and the muscles of the heart and kidneys. It makes up 73 percent of the total liver fat. Nervous, mental, or glandular overactivity can consume lecithin faster than its replacement. This may render a person irritable and exhausted. It is, therefore, of utmost importance to add lecithin to the diet, if the body’s own supply decreases as in old age or working under stress.

Rich Sources

Lecithin is derived from the Greek Word, likithos, meaning egg yolk. Egg yolk is a rich source of lecithin, and also a rich source of cholesterol. This combination makes it possible for the lecithin to emulsify the cholesterol. Vegetable oils, whole grain cereals, soyabeans, liver and milk are other rich sources of lecithin. The cells of the body are also capable of synthesizing it as needed, if several of the B vitamins are present. Since these B vitamins are generally removed when grains are refined, people who eat exclusively white flour products are lacking them.

When on a raw juice therapy, the prescribed juice should be drunk every three hours. One can thus take juices five to six times a day. A glass of water mixed with lemon juice and 20 to 30 grams of honey may be taken first thing in the morning on arising.

Thereafter, the prescribed juice may be taken at three-hourly intervals. The quantity of juice on each occasion may be 250 ml on the first day. This quantity may be increased by 50 ml each succeeding day till one takes 600 ml on each occasion. The juice diet can be continued for 30 to 40 days without any ill-effects. The patient should take adequate rest during the raw juice therapy.

Raw juices act as a cleansing agent and start eliminating toxins and morbid matter from the system immediately. This often results in symptoms such as pain in the abdomen, diarrhoea, loss of weight, headache, fever, weakness, sleeplessness and bad breath.

These reactions, which are part of the cleansing process, should not be suppressed by the use of drugs. They will cease when the body is able to expel all toxins.

After the raw juice therapy, the return to normal balanced diet should be gradual, and in stages.

In the beginning, two juice meals may be replaced by milk and fruits. Then gradually juice meals may be substituted by a balanced-diet.

Nature Healing Method for Alcoholism

The chronic alcoholic first of all must make a firm resolve to stop drinking. He should abstain from alcohol all at once for the habit cannot be got rid of in gradual stages.

The most effective way to treat alcoholism is to build the body’s nutritional integrity soaps to prevent craving for stimulants like drinks. The patients should be put on a cleansing juice fast for at least ten days in the beginning. During this period, he should have juice of an orange every two hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The juice may be diluted with warm water, if desired. If orange juice does not agree, vegetable juices may be taken. Each day while fasting, bowels should be cleansed of effete and poisonous matter thrown off by the self-cleansing process set up by the body. This can be achieved by warm water enema.

During the juice fast, the patient will usually feel no craving for alcohol. This will give a good 10 day start towards breaking the drinking habit and would help remove not only the physical dependence but also the psychological factors. After the initial fast on juices, the optimum diet of vital nutrients is essential. Such a diet should consist of whole grains, cereals, nuts, seeds and sprouts, fresh fruits and vegetables.

It is advisable that in the beginning of the treatment, the patient is given a suitable substitute to relieve the craving if and when such a craving occurs. The best substitute drink for alcohol is a glass of fresh fruit juice, sweetened with honey, if desired. In the alternative, wholesome candy may be taken. The patient should always have easily available juices, candy, or other snacks to be taken between meals if he feels a craving for a stimulant. All refined foods such as sugar, white rice, macaroni products and white flour and meat should be avoided. The patient should eat several small meals a day in preference to two or three large ones and avoid strong condiments such as pepper, mustard, and chilli. He should not smoke as this will only increase his desire for alcohol.

Apples are considered valuable in the treatment of alcoholism as their use removes intoxication and reduces the craving for wine and other intoxicating liquors. The raw celery juice is also considered helpful. It has a sobering effect and is an antidote to alcohol. In addition to proper nutrition, plenty of rest and outdoor exercises are necessary. The healthy condition of the appetite centre, which controls the craving for alcohol is improved by exercise. Yogic asans for general health such as padmasan, vajrasan, vakrasan, paschimotanasan, yogamudra, bhuajangasan, halasan and shalabhasana and yogic kriyas like jalneti, kunjal and simple Pranayamas like kapalbhati, anuloma-viloma, shitali and sitkari will be beneficial.

Copious drinking of water, hot fomentations on the stomach and abdomen with a wet girdle pack between applications are also effective water treatment for alcoholism.

And finally, it will be advisable to follow the ten commandments to prevent alcoholism, offered by psychiatrist Dr. William B. Terhune. These are:

never drink when you ‘need one’;

sip slowly;

space your drinks, taking a second drink 30 minutes after the first and a third an hour after the second;

dilute your alcohol;

keep an accurate and truthful record of the amount and number of drinks you take;

never conceal the amount of alcohol you drink;

do not drink on an empty stomach;

stop drinking on ’signal’ ( signals are lunch, dinner, fatigue, sex stimulation, boredom, frustration,and bedtime);

make it a rule never to take a drink to escape discomfort - either physical or mental; and

never, never take a drink in the morning thinking it will cure a hangover.

Nature Healing Method for Anaemia

Anaemia is much more easily prevented than corrected. A liberal intake of iron in the formative years can go a long way in preventing iron-deficiency anaemia.

Diet is of the utmost importance in the treatment of anaemia. Almost every nutrient is needed for the production of red blood cells, haemoglobin and the enzymes, required for their synthesis.

Refined food like white bread, polished rice, sugar, and desserts rope the body of the much -needed iron. Iron should always be taken in its natural organic form as the use of inorganic can prove hazardous, destroying the protective vitamins and unsaturated fatty acids, causing serious liver damage and even miscarriage and delayed or premature births. The common foods rich in natural organic iron are wheat and wheat grain cereals, brown rice and rice polishings, green leafy vegetables, cabbage, carrot, celery, beets, tomatoes, spinach ; fruits like apples, berries,cherries, grapes, raisins, figs, dates, peaches and eggs. It has been proved that a generous intake of iron alone will not help in the regeneration of haemoglobin. The supplies of protein, too, should be adequate. The diet should, therefore, be adequate in proteins of high biological value such as those found in milk, cheese and egg. Copper is also essential for the utilisation of iron in the building of haemoglobin.

Vitamin B12 is a must for preventing or curing anaemia. This vitamin is usually found in animal protein and especially in organic meats like kidney and liver. A heavy meat diet is often associated with a high haemoglobin and high red cell count, but it has its disadvantages. One cause of anaemia is intestinal putrefaction, which is primarily brought on by a high meat diet. Moreover, all meats are becoming increasingly dangerous due to widespread diseases in the animal kingdom. There are, however, other equally good alternative sources of vitamin B12 such as dairy products, like milk, eggs and cheese, peanuts. Wheat germ and soyabeans also contain some B12. Vegetarians should include sizeable amounts of milk, milk products and eggs in their diet.

For prevention of anaemia, it is essential to take the entire B-complex range which includes B12, as well as the natural foods mentioned above. Eating lacto-avo products, which are complete proteins, and which also contain vitamin B12 is good insurance against the disease. Brewer’s yeast is a good source of complete protein.

A liberal intake of ascorbic acid is necessary to facilitate absorption of iron. At least two helpings of citrus fruits and other ascorbic acid rich foods should be taken daily. Mention must be made of beets which are extremely important in curing anaemia. Beet juice contains potassium, phosphorous, calcium, sulphur, iodine, iron, copper, carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, B1, B2, niacin B6, C and vitamin P. With its high iron content, beet juice regenerates and reactivates the red blood cells, supplies the body with fresh oxygen and helps the normal function of vesicular breathing.

Water Treatment

A cold water bath is among the most valuable curative measures in anaemia. The patient should be given carefully graduated cold baths twice daily. Cold friction, hot epsom salt bath for five to 10 minutes once a week and an occassional cabinet steam bath are also recommended. Full sun baths are especially beneficial as sunlight stimulates the production of red cells.

There are other important factors which are helpful in curing anaemia. Deep breathing and light exercise like walking and simple yoga asanas should be undertaken to tone up the system.

Sarvangasana paschomittanasana, uttanpadasana and shavasana are recommended. Massage also helps to keep the blood level high.

Nature Healing Method for Appendicitis

The patient should be put to bed immediately at the first symptoms of severe pain, vomiting and fever. Rest is of utmost importance in the treatment of this disease. The patient should resort to fasting which is the only real cure for appendicitis. Absolutely no food should be given.

Nothing except water should enter the system. Low enemias, containing about one pint (1/2 litre) of warm water should be administered everyday for the first three days to cleanse the lower bowel.

Hot compresses may be placed over the painful area several times daily. Abdominal packs, made of a strip of wet sheet covered by a dry flannel cloth bound tightly around the abdomen, should be applied continuously until all acute symptoms subside. When the acute symptoms subside by about the third day, the patient should be given a full enema containing about 1 1/2 litre of warm water and this should be repeated daily until the inflammation and pain have subsided. The patient can be given fruit juices from the third day onwards. This simple treatment sensibly applied will overcome an appendicitis attack.

After spending three days on fruit juices, the patient may adopt an all-fruit diet for a further four or five days. During this period, he should have three meals a day each meal of fresh juicy fruits. Thereafter, he should adopt a well-balanced diet based on three food groups namely, (i) seed, nuts and grains, (ii) vegetables and (iii) fruits.

In case of chronic appendicitis, a short fast should be followed by a full milk diet for two or three weeks. In this regimen, a glass of milk should be taken every two hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the first day, a glass every hour and a half the next day and a glass every hour the third day.

Then the quantity of milk should be gradually increased so as to take a glass every half an hour, if such a quantity can be tolerated comfortably. After the full milk diet, the patient should gradually embark upon a well- balanced diet, with emphasis on fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables.

Certain vegetable juices, especially carrot juice, in combination with the juices of beets and cucumbers, have been found valuable in the treatment of appendicitis. Regular use of tea made from fenugreek seeds has also proved helpful in preventing the appendix from becoming a dumping ground for excess mucous and intestinal waste. The patient of appendicitis should adopt all measures to eradicate constipation., if it is habitual.

Much relief can be obtained by the application of hot fomentation and abdominal packs every morning and night. An abdominal massage is also beneficial. Once the waste matter in the calcium has moved into the colon and thence eliminated, the irritation and inflammation in the appendix will subside and surgical removal of the appendix will not be necessary. The surgical operation should be resorted to only in rare cases, when the appendix has become abscessed.

Selling Survival: The Evolution of the Entrepreneurial Paradigm and Where to Look for Opportunities

Experts say that there are societal trends in play that are precipitating a return to pre-industrial era ways of survival. In the face of changing economic realities and disillusionment, many people are questioning the ways they currently make money and are seeking alternate means of income. But, instead of simply getting another job, or opening a fast-food franchise, many are instead asking, “What am I good at?” “What’s my passion?”

Today’s trends are all pointing to a move back to the way things were. At the very least, as the economic landscape becomes more uncertain, people need to look at options for increasing their streams of income. It may be only way to survive.

However, there is also a new awareness developing among those who are seeking to flex their entrepreneurial muscles. The question this time is: What sort of business does it make sense to start in these times of global change?

To lay the foundation for my response, I’d like to introduce you to a term with which you’re probably already familiar. The term is “catalyst.” As you may remember from high school chemistry class, a catalyst is a substance that ignites, sets in motion, or speeds up a reaction without itself being affected. In life as well, every experience is a potential catalyst. Your flat tire, the argument with your spouse, your unhappiness at your job–all are potential catalysts. Because of the free will inherent in our experience here on the planet (we have the freedom to choose our responses), the reaction that a catalyst can spark is entirely under your control.

THE PURPOSE OF CATALYSTS All catalysts are designed to offer a challenge or lesson.

There are only two possible paths one can choose from in response to a catalyst: It can be accepted or it can be controlled. The path you choose will be determined by your orientation. If you are oriented towards service to self (your own comfort), you will make one set of choices. If you are oriented towards service to others, you will see and choose from a different set of choices.

When faced with a catalyst it is important to understand that we are here to evolve in the direction of our orientation, and without life’s catalysts, the desire to evolve and the faith in the process do not normally manifest and thus evolution does not occur. So don’t rail against the changes and situations. Accept them as a natural part of the experience designed to help you grow.

Life is really that simple. Things happen. You choose your response based on your orientation. You evolve in the direction of your choice.

When neither path is chosen, the catalyst fails in its design and you proceed through life until some other catalyst appears which causes you to choose again towards acceptance and love or toward separation and control.

HOW TO PREDICT THE FUTURE It’s a basic law of this dynamic, ever-changing universe that there’s no such thing as something “staying the same.” Things are either expanding or contracting, increasing or decreasing, getting better or getting worse. Even the metal or hard plastic computer or sheet of paper on which you are reading these words, as solid and as stable as they seem are all slowly decaying and deteriorating. Come back in a few dozen years, and you’ll see the effects of decay over time. If you know this, then you can look at everything from business phenomena to romantic relationships a little bit differently, and can perform what some might consider fortune-telling simply by asking, “where is this heading?”

Every business, every situation, every relationship is either getting better or getting worse, growing or shrinking, going up or heading downhill. Therefore, as long as you can honestly assess what you observe or experience over a given time frame, you can “predict” where something is heading and take any evasive or remedial actions as necessary.

Now having said that, let’s examine some observable facts and trends that are catalysts occurring right now and that will affect the future, and to which we have a choice of response. 1. The earth is going through changes. Global warming is a reality. Temperature fluctuations are affecting access to water, arable land and other resources for a growing segment of the world’s population. These and other physical, climatic, and cataclysmic changes are observable.

2. “Peak Oil” is a reality. The term “peak oil” refers to the peak in the world’s oil production. The amount of oil available on the planet is finite. There is a point in oil production whether within a single oil field or the entire planet, when a maximum is reached. Once that maximum rate of production is reached, the rate of oil production (as well as the profitability of extracting it) on Earth will enter a terminal decline. The challenge this presents is that while the SUPPLY is declining, the DEMAND for oil (and the plastics, electricity, etc, which are oil-dependent) continue to increase as population and industrialization continue to grow. It’ said that US oil production peaked in 1970. World oil production, it is said by some, peaked in 2005. After a peak, production slows, profits decrease, and prices rise. You can already see the effects of this as gas prices start creeping upwards.

3. Corporate downsizing persists More and more companies are outsourcing, downsizing and offshoring in an effort to cut costs. Companies, particularly public corporations, are bound by their charters and by law to seek first the profitability of their shareholders. That’s why the decisions these companies make often seem less humanitarian and more profit-inspired. That’s because they have to be.

4. Global power and focus is shifting China and India are growing economic forces. They represent sources of labor, consumers, as well as increased oil and energy demand. Companies the world over in Europe, (Romania and Poland most recently made news) and the US, are importing laborers from China, or outsourcing skilled jobs to India.

DON’T SLEEP As a potential entrepreneur, indeed as a nation, the opportunity exists to predict, anticipate, prepare for and position oneself for the effects of these trends. Don’t wait for mainstream news broadcasts to confirm this. Don’t expect politicians to make it part of their agendas in time. They are operating from a different agenda. Those who seek to rule the world are by nature unlike those of the world they seek to rule.

THE CHALLENGE As I said, there is always either a lesson or a challenge.

Within the context of these trends, the economic condition, and by extension, your unique situation is a catalyst that provides an opportunity for you to respond in search of a lesson or a challenge.

As potential entrepreneurs, if we choose to rise to the challenge, using what we know about predicting the future, the question becomes first: What’s going to happen as these trends and catalysts continue? And then more importantly, what shall I do in response to these happenings? Where should I look for the opportunity? What sort of business would I start? And finally which business path offers the most opportunity for service to others?

Now there are those who would ask, ‘which path offers the most profit?’, but that’s a service-to-self orientation. We need a new paradigm. I suggest, as motivational speaker Zig Ziglar is credited with saying: that if you help enough people get what they want, you automatically get what you want.

MY THOUGHTS ON A COMING SHIFT There’s another important trend that I believe is important to factor into this equation, and it is this: The continued growth upon which the current economic model is based cannot be sustained indefinitely. Infinite growth based on finite resources is unsustainable. Growth based on the exploitation of others is unethical and untenable.

Yes, China and India are both ideal sources of labor as well as the next great frontier for consumerism. The rest of the world’s industrialized, market-driven, capitalist, consumer-oriented companies and entrepreneurs know this as well, and are rushing to position themselves.

However, the gold watch-sporting, cola-drinking, junk food-eating, luxury car-driving, soap opera-watching, video game-playing lifestyle upon which these companies rely to support their spiritually vapid, environmentally-depleting and mindless products, while exploiting the poor as the labor source, is on an inevitable decline. Global consciousness of a more serious nature is actually on the rise (it’s just not being reported). So if as a result, you see, as I do, the potential crash of the entire economic system upon which this model hinges, then you might agree that basing a new industry or business idea on such shifting sand, while perpetuating a soon-to-be outdated business model that separates and destroys the family structure, enslaves communities, while perpetuating indentured servitude is not a desirable course. So, here is the challenge in a nutshell. The current model is unsustainable. We need to survive. However, our survival is based on buying into a definition of success which perpetuates the very model which is threatening our survival. What then, should be our best course of action?

THE ETHICAL PARADOX OF SELLING SURVIVAL How do you survive in an economic system that is threatening your and its own survival. Answer: You sell survival. That’s right, the game is changing to one of selling survival.

Right now others in the know are mobilizing to prepare to offer you their solutions. But what they offer won’t be real solutions. They will offer products, services and a paradigm which perpetuates their control and their individual survival. In some parts of the world, companies are already charging the population for access to clean water, and some are selling seeds which have been genetically altered to produce single-generation crops forcing farmers into a cycle of having to purchase new seeds every season just to survive.

But how do you survive in good conscience by profiting from what others need to survive. Therein lies the paradox of selling survival.

But that sort of response is not the best option. Selling altered seeds or clean water is not the survival I wish to sell. If I were starting a business, I would follow the experts who predict that the stated trends will favor business models that:
1. anticipate coming global shifts in social interaction and lifestyles (i.e. tribal living in larger social families that are self-supporting; ones that engage in more efficient means of creating energy, obtaining food, and supporting the common welfare)
2. offer people the means of survival given the “peak oil” phenomenon (i.e. alternative fuel sources, power generation capacities, solar, wind, insulating technologies)
3. utilize technology in ways that empower and free the exploited from the manual labor which keeps them at the lower rungs of the totem pole

Why not start your own brainstorm session to come up with some unique business ideas based on the suggestions above?

Wouldn’t it be nice to jump ahead of the entrepreneurial curve and start or join an industry, or launch a new business idea that helps the most people, prepares for coming earth changes, empowers rather than exploits the labor pool, reduces dependence on diminishing energy resources, offers the consumer real alternatives, while at the same time offers the world a new paradigm and consciousness as it relates to survivability, sustainability, adding our voice and actions to the very change in consciousness and alternate paradigm that our very survival necessitates?

Yep, that would be pretty cool. And that’s what I would do if I were starting a business.

Catalyst For Success

Most times, people begin a task or goal with great enthusiasm but some do not end up achieving thier best.You might ask why is this the result after so much effort and zeal at the beginning ? It is simplybecause such individuals fail to acquire the required catalyst which will drive thier reaction to thier dreams. As we know in science that catalysts speed up the rate of a chemical reaction, so we have catalysts that speed up the RATE OF SUCCESS. Do you really know what this catalyst is ?

It is known as MOTIVATION. Motivation is simply a process in which an individual takes suitable steps to boost his interest in something. Motivation goes a long way in inspiring you and taking you to your dreams. You must know that the best motivator is YOURSELF. Mentors, books, speakers, amongst others could be sources of motivation for you. But if you don’t possess that instrument of SELF-MOTIVATION, you will end up like a wealthy merchant lost in the desert. Quite unfortunate!

In motivating yourself, you must first-of all discover yourself and know from the depth of your heart what you like best. Relate this to your desired goal and create ways in which you can make use of one to benefit the other. This could be aided with meditation and positive thinking. You have to be creative !

Moreover, make use of external motivators alongside your self-motivator. With these, you can create a combined effort. You must also identify LOW SELF-ESTEEM as an ENEMY and you must destroy it with every possible weapon. See yourself as an achiever having attained your heights. At the same time, do not dwell in a fool’s paradise by inviting pride to your personality. In otherwords, strike a balance !

Also, INFERIORITY COMPLEX should be something you must give no room to get into your way. Focus on your goals and assist others but don’t disturb yourself about other people’s matters. Judging yourself by other people’s efforts and goals is a waste of time. Focus on yours so as not to bring yourself down.

Creative Catalysts

We are all originals and have the software to be creative. Yet, sometimes we feel blocked or uninspired and can’t get our creativity to click. As creativity is about making new connections, try these 25 easy ways to stimulate your process or project:

1)Keep a daily excitement list about WHY you are passionate and committed to your exploration or project

2) Change your location–work on your project in bed, outside in nature, in a coffee shop, or a different room

3) Take a trip relating to your project to explore a facet of it

4) Go on vacation or take a day or two off and let it go and take a fresh look when you return

5) Or make a date with your project and go away for a period of time with it as your companion

6) Go to a toy store and find a toy like your project and play with it

7) Set up a series of experiments related to your project

8) Experience your project using the three learning styles of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic experiences. Draw a picture of it, make a mind-map of it, take a photo of it and play on photo-shop. Talk about your project to a tape recorder or a video recorder or teach a real/pretend class on the topic. Act it out with props and sets and maybe even other characters

9) Find a symbol or prop that represents your project and carry it around with you

10) Exercise regularly to clear your head

11) Create a water experience–sit in a hob tub, go swimming, take a shower, visit a spa

12) Record and follow intuitive clues

13) Meditate or pray about it

14) Select music that reminds you of your project and play it at the beginning of your work sessions

15) Initiate creative rituals such as lighting a candle or reading first, etc.

16) Find someone who is an opposite thinker (a devil’s advocate) and tell them about your project and let them challenge/stimulate your thinking

17) Put your inner critic in isolation for now

18) Visualize your end result and make a collage of images that support that vision

19) Collect objects like your project and keep them in a basket to ponder

20) Keep a file card packet in your office, car, etc. to jot down all related ideas and connections

21) Read related books, articles, etc. and take notes

22) Look for the metaphors–i.e.,how is your project like a pine tree?

23) Keep a separate journal/computer file for each project and keep track of all ideas and feelings

24) At the right time, share your project with trusted others and gather new insights

25) Use your fascinations to propel you ahead to take risks everyday

The Psychological Catalysts of Insomnia

Many people suffer from insomnia at some point in their lives, but not always for the same reasons. Depending upon what’s going on in their surroundings, the status of their physical health or where they stand from a psychological perspective, insomnia can be the by-product of something much deeper.

Stress is such a significant factor in our society that it’s reached epidemic proportions. While the amount of stress is often in direct correlation to the impact on our health, it varies from person to person and, while some may suffer from serious consequences, others may be afflicted by conditions that appear to be more benign. Most people would probably consider insomnia to fall into the latter category. While this may seem to be true on the surface, it could be masking a far more serious condition.

An extremely simplified definition of stress would be how effectively a person copes with the circumstances in his or her life. That’s a rather generic definition, though, since circumstances can vary by degree of severity, and the accumulation of circumstances also plays a significant role in a person’s ability to cope. For instance, a cut on the hand might cause some small degree of stress, but a cut that was severe enough to cause the loss of the hand would precipitate a much higher level of stress. The injured person would be expected, then, to experience far more stress in the second scenario, because the degree of injury was greater.

In the case of accumulating circumstances, someone might experience a bit of stress when their car breaks down, but not enough to debilitate them. On the other hand, that same person might be required to cope with a broken down car, loss of their job and a death in the immediate family all within a very short span of time. In this scenario, the stress will be significantly greater, and their ability to cope will be far more compromised.

Anxiety is another factor that may disrupt a person’s normal sleep pattern. Closely akin to stress in the symptoms that it manifests, anxiety is a condition that often appears when a person feels tension, fear, apprehension, uncertainty or worry. As a result, these feelings may present themselves in the form of insomnia. There are many things in this world which one can feel anxiety over, but relationships, finances and the work environment are among the most common. If you’ve ever been in the situation of having lost your job, you probably began to feel a bit anxious. When two or more months went by and you didn’t find employment, the anxiety increased. By the time your unemployment compensation ran out at the end of six months, the anxiety hit a peak and, perhaps, had an affect on your health, if it hadn’t done so already. This type of scenario is ripe for insomnia. Many people are so filled with worry when faced with such circumstances that insomnia becomes a natural extension of their anxiety.

Another psychological catalyst of insomnia is depression. These feelings of sadness, despair or discouragement can become quite serious and, sometimes, have catastrophic repercussions. Whether the onset of depression is due to circumstances surrounding a relationship, career, finances or feelings of personal hatred or inadequacy, there’s no telling how the body will choose to express the negative impact that it has on the overall health. Sleeplessness is certainly common in this type of scenario, but others may become apparent, as well.

Regardless of the reasons for insomnia, if you’re among those who suffer from it, seek medical attention by consulting with your physician. While most people have had a mild bout or two with this condition at some point during the course of their lives, it can lead to more grave conditions or illnesses, and can be indicative of something serious brewing just beneath the surface.

What Exactly Are Fuel Catalysts?

What would you say if I told you there’s a product you could use that would increase your car’s horsepower, decrease its emissions, and get you better gas mileage? You’d probably be totally for it or think I was completely insane. Well, such a product does exist.

Fuel catalysts are simply chemicals, usually in liquid or pill form, that you add into your gas tank. After a short time, you’ll get better gas mileage, more power, and be helping the environment. And fuel catalysts not only work in cars, vans, and SUVs; they also work in motorcycles, boats, RVs, farm equipment, generators, and pretty much anything that uses petroleum based fuels. If these products sound like something you’re interesting in, just read on.

I’ve already told you what these fuel catalysts can do, but you’re also probably wondering what they are and how they work. A catalyst in a reaction is an extra ingredient that makes the reaction go faster or more efficiently. In the case of fuel catalysts, they make the reaction of burning fuel more efficient. They don’t actually mix with your gasoline; they chemically alter in to a different substance. This new type of fuel burns better than regular gasoline, making it more efficient.

So, how does this make your vehicle run better? When your vehicle runs normally, 85% of the energy produced by the reaction is heat. This means that only 15% of the energy is actually going into running your engine. Also, there are a lot of byproducts produced that build up in your engine, making it even less efficient. When you add a fuel catalyst, the burning of gasoline or diesel becomes more efficient. This makes the engine operate at a lower temperature; meaning that less of the energy is being lost as heat and more of the energy is being used to power your car. This increases your car’s horsepower and gas mileage. Adding a catalyst also produces fewer byproducts because of the increased efficiency of the reaction, meaning less buildup in your engine and even more efficiency. A cleaner engine also means that you’ll have fewer breakdowns and need fewer tune-ups. This saves you even more money!

I also mentioned earlier that these fuel additives help reduce pollution. When a catalyst is added to a reaction, this means more of the final product in produced and byproducts are reduced. The muck in your engine is one bad byproduct, but it’s not the only one. When fuel burns more efficiently, it produces more carbon dioxide and less carbon monoxide. You may think “but isn’t carbon dioxide bad?” Well, yes, but carbon monoxide is more toxic. Plus, even though you’re getting more carbon dioxide from each gallon; you’re burning fewer gallons overall, so it’s not really bad.

I’ve given you as much information about these products as I can, but I understand you may still be skeptical. The best way to find out if these products really work is to try them yourself. What I must warn you against is trying one dose of one of these products and then saying that it doesn’t work because there was little improvement. Depending on the age of your vehicle, there may be a whole lot of gunk inside it that needs to be cleaned out. It may take using one of these products several times to see noticeable results. So, if you’re really serious about saving money on gas and repairs, or on helping the environment; then you should stick with it before you decide this isn’t working for you.
