Tyco Electronics has introduced Raychem S1125 Kit 8, a diesel and fluid resistant, high performance adhesive, designed for use with heat-shrinkable components to seal terminations and connections that are subject to high operating temperatures and/or flexural loads. The two part epoxy/polyamide adhesive is a component of the Raychem System 25, which has been developed for the ultra-demanding engine bay requirements of military, aerospace, automotive and leading-edge autosport applications. It provides effective strain relief and creates a long-term, high integrity seal that is resistant to attack from a wide range of chemicals and fluids including, moisture, solvents, diesel and other fuel oils.

S1125 has a operating temperature range -75C to +150C when used with accepted high performance components but has been proven up to +200C in the Company’s System 200 with Viton Tubings.

The new kit is supplied in a dual cartridge format for use with a standard syringe applicator with static mixing nozzles.

This user friendly and direct application method reduces waste and avoids mess, however mixing cups, sticks and abrasives are also available should the installer wish to employ traditional methods.

Optimum performance is achieved without the need for post-heating.
